THE “REDSKINS RULE”

Amazingly, the Washington Redskins have been correctly predicting the outcome of the United States presidential election since 1940.

It’s called the "Redskins Rule" and it goes like this …

If the Washington Redskins win the week before the election, the incumbent party wins as well.

If the Redskins lose, the challenger wins the election and takes over office.

The rule has worked perfectly since 1940 – with the only exception being 2004 when the Redskins lost and George W. Bush was re-elected.

This year, the Redskins lost – which, according to the Redskins Rule, means Mitt Romney would win.

We will see if the Redskins Rule is alive and well before the day is over. Unless there are recounts, of course … (ABC News)
