Facebook post threatens lives of sheriff's family
(NEWSER) – As an Ohio city wrestles with rape allegations involving a pair of high school football players, online threats have spurred the FBI to act. An anonymous Facebook commenter threatened to kill the Jefferson County sheriff's family, CBS News reports. Meanwhile, Steubenville's police chief opened an email yesterday that knocked out his computer, he says; the FBI is probing the perceived threats. Hackers have been at the center of the case, with the group Anonymous posting a video of a college freshman joking about it; that teen has now dropped out of Ohio State University.
